Absence of menstrual period is also known as amenorrhea. This is a condition when a woman doesn’t have menstrual periods in her reproductive phase of her life. Menstrual absence can be cause by different issues from pregnancy, sickness or lifestyle changes among others. Amenorrhea can be classified into two categories; primary and secondary. Primary amenorrhea is when the menstrual cycle delays in females due to development problems or failure of ovaries. On the other hand secondary condition is when the menstruation cycle stops for three months or longer due to problems such as hormonal imbalances.

Causes of Primary Amenorrhea

Causes of Secondary Amenorrhea

Breast feeding, Pregnancy, oral contraceptives, mental stress, hormonal problem, pituitary problems, sudden weight gain, premature ovarian failure, menopause and certain medications can cause secondary amenorrhea.

Cinnamon Powder

Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of milk and drink every day before going to sleep.

Mint Leaves

Include raw mint leaves in your daily diet. You can add mint to your favorite smoothies or healthy juices.

Tomato Juice

Consume tomato juice daily. It is very beneficial in amenorrhea.

Saffron

Boil little saffron in half cup of water. Reduce to tablespoon and consume this three times little by little.

Various Herbs

Herbs like Blue Cohosh, Mother Wort, Yarrow, Penny Royal, Chaste tree, chamomile, rosemary and oregano are beneficial to treat this condition.

Liquids
